After American Express doubled the offer of Member Rewards on the Platinum Card, TD Aeroplan Visa Infinite has now jumped on the bandwagon but a similar but not as spectacular an offer.
TD – you are late to the party and your offer doesnt beat what Amex is offering and not even close.
Since card issuers are now finding people are spending less on what they normally used to spend on, but have seen an increase on online spending, especially online grocery orders and food take-out/delivery, it seems like a no-brainer for these card issuers to lure shoppers to use their cards. And in order to do this they are offering point multipliers.
TD Aeroplan Visa Infinite is now offering 2x Aeroplan points on select online food and grocery deliveries. This is a limited time offer from May 14, 2020 till August 15, 2020. You do not have to do anything to enrol as the offer will be applied to your eligible card automatically.

Account Cardholders will earn 3 Bonus Aeroplan Miles for each $1.00 in Purchases charged to the Account at participating Grocery Delivery merchants classified as PC Express, Goodfood, Save‑On‑Foods Online, Grocery Gateway, SPUD.ca, metro.ca online grocery, GOcery or Mister Produce (the “Grocery Delivery Bonus Aeroplan Mile”).

Account Cardholders will earn 2 Bonus Aeroplan Miles for each $1.00 in Purchases charged to the Account at other merchants classified as Instacart, HelloFresh, Inabuggy, Chefs Plate, Cornershop, Cook it, The Organic Box, GoJava, Cartly, CultivatR, MissFresh, The Grocery Link, Uber Eats, DoorDash, SkipTheDishes, Just Eat or Chanmao Inc. (the “Other Merchants Bonus Aeroplan Mile”).
Note:
The Grocery Delivery Bonus Aeroplan Miles and Other Merchants Bonus Aeroplan Miles earned during the Offer Period is in place of, and not in addition to the base Aeroplan Miles earn rate for the Account.
This is the part I dislike the most. Any bonus is supposed to be in addition – not replacing what you are already getting.
Amex Gold also just announced today that you can earn an extra 4x in addition to the regular accumulation for a total of 5x MR by using Amex Gold at Uber Eats and SkipTheDishes.
Also, this Limited Time Promotional Offer will be in addition to any other offers available for your Account.
If the Purchase does not qualify for this Offer, you will earn the base Aeroplan Miles earn rate for each $1.00 in Purchase charged to the Account.
Any returned items, refunds, rebates or other similar credits will reduce or cancel the Aeroplan Miles earned on the original qualifying Purchase.
It can take up to 8 weeks after the Offer Period for the Bonus Aeroplan Miles to be credited to your Aeroplan Member Account.
