Due to the current pandemic, the ME3 airlines are constantly amending their refund processes and sweeting the deal in some scenarios.
Emirates:
Flights cancelled by Emirates are eligible for Rebooking and Travel Voucher options with the travel voucher for ticket value with a validity of 12 months from date of issue.
Passengers with flight bookings for travel on or before 30 June 2020 can rebook their flights to any Emirates destination within the same region without a rebooking fee or paying any fare difference.
Etihad:
If you’re scheduled to fly before 30 June 2020, you can get up to US $400 and up to 5,000 Etihad Guest Miles when you save your trip for later.
Click on this link to make this request and you will be taken to the page below:
The upto US$400 is not cash back in your hand but rather a credit and here is how this is calculated:
If more than one guest is travelling on your booking, the credit will be issued to the lead guest. If you’d prefer to split the credit, you need to call the Contact Centre to have it processed.
Or, you can change the date of your flight for free to fly before 30 June.
However, note, if you are scheduled to fly after 30 June 2020, you can manage your booking through any of their normal channels and standard booking rules apply.
Qatar Airways:
If your flight is cancelled – For all tickets issued anytime until 30 September 2020, for travel on or before the same date, a travel voucher will be emailed to you automatically. It will be equal to the value of your unutilised ticket – plus an additional 10%, excluding statutory taxes.
If your flight is not cancelled – and you have booked or are planning to book tickets for travel up to 30 September 2020, but you wish to change your travel plans, you can alter your travel date free of charge (fare differences may apply), or exchange your ticket for a future travel voucher valid for one year, up to 3 days prior to departure.
Stay safe.
