This time you can earn cashback of up to $60 cash back when you set up eligible automatic monthly bill payments with your wireless, cable and streaming service providers using your CIBC Aeroplan Visa Infinite Card.
This is a limited time promotional offer where you can earn up to $10 cash back for a new monthly automatic bill payment you add to your account after registering for this offer. A maximum of one new monthly automatic bill payment will be eligible for the cash back award.
You must register for this offer in order to participate and add up to a maximum of one new monthly automatic bill payment to your CIBC Aeroplan Visa Infinite card by June 30, 2021 by 11:59 pm. You can sign up for the offer in two simple steps by clicking on the link in your targeted email i.e. to activate offer and set up your card with the provider of your wireless, cable and streaming service.
You can earn up to $60 maximum over the duration of the offer period between June 3, 2021 and December 31, 2021 by 11:59 pm.
You can only start earning cash back from the time you register for the offer and monthly automatic bill payments must be posted to your CIBC Aeroplan credit card account by January 7, 2022. You will also need to allow up to 6-8 weeks after the automatic bill payment transaction has posted to your Account to receive the cash back earned under this offer, which will appear in the form of a statement credit.
In order to receive this cashback, your Account must be open and in good standing at the time the cash back is awarded and the card must remain on automatic bill payments.
Note:
If you change your Account to a non-Aeroplan credit card, before the cash back is awarded, you will not receive the cash back award.
Also, this offer does not apply to Quebec residents.
Overall, its refreshing to see Aeroplan providing alternate ways to earn Aeroplan Points and now Cash-back for using their co-branded cards for non-travel related categories.
Having said that, I would have preferred if the promo allowed a cash-back on each bill pay for direct payments made and allow it on more than one provider. If I compare, I prefer the promo by American Express on the Cobalt card, where you can earn 4 bonus Membership Rewards points for every dollar in qualifying purchases using your registered Card at eligible mobile service providers in Canada between 15/04/2021 and 15/07/2021 albiet with a limit of 1,500 bonus points.
Also, dont forget about the two other promos being offered by Aeroplan:
i. Until Dec. 31, earn $25 cash back, up to $125, with every eligible Air Canada flight booking, using your CIBC Aeroplan Visa Infinite Card, for travel through 2022.
ii. Earn a total of 5 Aeroplan points for every $1 you spend on eligible gas purchase transactions using your CIBC Aeroplan Visa Infinite Card, up to 3,000 points, until August 2.
Keep raking in those Aeroplan points and Cash-backs.
