Since travel is seriously curtailed these days, Aeroplan is constantly seeking ways to allow us to earn Aeroplan points. So, in its latest partnership, they have now teamed up with Starbucks to allow you to earn Aeroplan points.
There are several ways in which you can earn Aeroplan Points under this partnership. However, the first step you should take is to link your Aeroplan account with your Starbucks accounts on the Aeroplan site.
Now that you have done that, every coffee and latte that you sip on will lead you to be able to sip on Dom Perignon in premium cabins once we are able to fly freely again.
So, the first way to earn is by loading funds into your Starbucks app.
You can get 75 Aeroplan points for every $50-$74.99 loaded to your digital Starbucks Card in the app.
You can get 150 Aeroplan points for every $75 or more loaded to your digital Starbucks Card in the app.
These have to be single transactions so multiple transactions totalling $50 or $75 do not qualify.
Note that you will still earn Starbucks Stars on all your qualifying purchases at Starbucks, on top of the Aeroplan points you’ll now earn.
Another way to earn bonus Aeroplan Points is by using eligible TD co-branded Aeroplan cards at Starbucks. For a limited time until November 7, 2021, you can earn 50% more Aeroplan points for every $1 you spend on eligible TD Aeroplan credit card purchases at participating Starbucks locations.
Once you have linked your accounts, you can also benefit from reduced points required for redeeming for Starbucks giftcards from the Aeroplan estore. You will be eligible to redeem Aeroplan points for specific Starbucks gift cards using fewer Points. To take advantage of these discounted redemption rates, visit https://aeroplan.rewardops.com/en-CA/affiliate-details/starbucks
And to sweeten the deal (pun intended), if you are not a Starbucks Rewards member yet, there is an offer for you.
You will earn a one-time bonus of 400 Aeroplan points when you create a new Starbucks Rewards account, link it to your Aeroplan account and make your first Starbucks Rewards purchase at a Participating Starbucks Store within one month of creating your Starbucks Rewards account. You must pay using your digital Starbucks Card or linked payment method in the Starbucks app, or by scanning your Starbucks app at the register prior to checkout. This offer is open to new Starbucks Rewards account holders only. If you are currently a member, or have ever been a member, you are not eligible for this offer.
So, in essence, you can double dip or even triple dip when you use an eligible TD credit card at Starbucks.
Also, this is a good way to keep your account active – just buy a banana at a Starbucks nearest to you instead of locating a HomeHardware store.
Its refreshing to see Aeroplan providing alternate ways to earn Aeroplan points and we excitedly look forward to more partnerships.
Cheers!!
