Aeroplan introduces Travel at Home and Earn status and miles

Aeroplan introduces Travel at Home and Earn status and miles

Since no one is travelling these days, it is good to see Aeroplan introduce a novel way during these challenging times to allow us to earn status and miles.

If you haven’t already reached Altitude status, you can now do so without flying the miles. Between April 20 and May 31, 2020 when you earn 50,000 Aeroplan Miles through everyday Travel at Home activities, including miles earned on your Aeroplan credit card, you’ll receive Altitude Prestige 25K status valid through 2021.

Between April 20 and May 31, 2020, when you earn Aeroplan Miles, you can earn Bonus Altitude Qualifying Miles (AQM) and more – including the potential for a one-time Altitude status upgrade up to Altitude Elite 75K.
For e.g. If you’re an Altitude Elite 50K member and you earn 250,000 Aeroplan Miles during this offer, you’ll receive a total of 4,500 (1,500 + 3,000) Bonus AQM, 20 eUpgrade Credits, $1,000 Bonus Altitude Qualifying Dollars (AQD) and a one-time status upgrade to Elite 75K.

Another way is by donating Aeroplan Miles. For a limited time, for every five Aeroplan Miles you donate to a charity fighting the COVID‑19 crisis, you’ll receive one Bonus Altitude Qualifying Mile (AQM).

Of-course, you also have three other ways as always:

Convert hotel and credit card points – as for a limited time, this can also help you earn towards reaching Altitude status.

Shop online via the Aeroplan estore for everyday purchases and earn up to 10X the miles when you shop at Indigo for e.g.

Use your Aeroplan co-branded card for everyday purchases including grocery, drugstore and home entertainment.

Stay home, Stay safe and rack up those points and attain that status.
