Increased Bonus Aeroplan Points offer by TD

After the disappointing offers by both TD and CIBC on their co-branded credit cards, TD has now beefed up their offerings.

The TD Aeroplan Visa Infinite card now comes with up to 20,000 Aeroplan points and also a bonus Buddy Pass.

Here is the breakdown of how you can earn the 20,000 Aeroplan points
– Earn a welcome bonus of 10,000 Aeroplan points when you make your first purchase with your new card.
– Earn 10,000 Aeroplan points when you spend $1,000 within 90 days of Account opening, up to a total of 20,000 points.
Additionally, the first year annual fee of $139 is waived if you apply by May 30, 2021.

The TD Aeroplan Visa Platinum Card also with up to 20,000 Aeroplan points.

Here is the breakdown of how you can earn the 20,000 Aeroplan points
– Earn a welcome bonus of 10,000 Aeroplan points when you make your first purchase with your new card.
– Earn 10,000 Aeroplan points when you spend $1,000 within 90 days of Account opening, up to a total of 20,000 points.
Additionally, the first year annual fee of $89 is waived if you apply by May 30, 2021.

There has been to change to the offering on the TD Aeroplan Visa Infinite Privilege card. It remains at 50,000 Aeroplan Points and a bonus Buddy Pass.

The TD Aeroplan Visa Business card is also seeing an increase with up to 25,000 Aeroplan Points and a bonus Buddy Pass if you apply by May 30, 2021.

Here is the breakdown of how you can earn the 25,000 Aeroplan points
– Earn a welcome bonus of 10,000 Aeroplan points when you make your first purchase with your new card.
– Earn 15,000 Aeroplan points when you spend $5,000 within 90 days of Account opening
Additionally, the first year annual fees of up to $247 ($149 for Primary and upto two Additional cards for $49 each) is waived if you apply by May 30, 2021.

And, thats not all!!
You can earn more points with a combination of TD Aeroplan Credit Cards and Select Chequing Accounts.
Open a new eligible TD Chequing Account by May 30, 2021 and you could earn the following rewards:
TD Unlimited Chequing Account: Earn 10,000 Aeroplan points and enjoy the peace of mind that comes with unlimited transactions
TD All-Inclusive Banking Plan: Earn 10,000 Aeroplan points and get unlimited transactions and premium banking benefits.
Here are the exclusions that apply to this offer:
a. Customers who already have a TD chequing account or TD Youth Account or had either one of these accounts that was closed on or after January 18, 2021; or
b. Customers who received any chequing account offer from TD in 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021; or
c. TD staff members or a joint account with a TD staff member.

Now, it remains to be seen if CIBC and American Express will also roll out similar enhanced offers to remain competitive.
