Aeroplan just launched a new promo where Air Canada Altitude members who purchase Aeroplan Miles will receive upto 75% bonus Aeroplan miles and in addition, receive Altitude Qualifying Dollars (AQD’s) equal to the amount you spend. This offer is available from July 07, 2020 till July 12, 2020.

Lets break it down:
Buy Aeroplan Miles and receive up to 75% Bonus Aeroplan Miles.
Plus, 100% of the cost of your miles will count as Altitude Qualifying Dollars towards your status (up to $5,000).
The bonus kicks in in tiers:
Buy 2,000-50,000 miles = 25% bonus miles
Buy 60,000-170,000 miles = 40% bonus miles
Buy 180,000-240,000 miles = 60% bonus miles
Buy 250,000+ miles = 75% bonus miles
During this promotion only, you can buy up to 1 million Aeroplan Miles (double the usual annual limit). You can also gift Aeroplan miles and the limit is between 2,000 Aeroplan Miles and up to 350,000 per transaction. Purchase is not instant, and it can take up to 72 hours after purchase for Eligible Aeroplan Miles and Bonus Aeroplan Miles to be deposited in your Aeroplan account.
So the least you need to buy to unlock 75% bonus is;
Buy 250,000 miles and get a bonus of 187,500 for $7,500 CAD plus taxes.
Aeroplan Miles and Bonus Aeroplan Miles acquired pursuant to this Offer are not eligible for Aeroplan status.
It appears this offer is by invitation only by email. However, I dont appear to have received this email yet, yet I had the offer available to me when I logged in.
Personally thats a lot of miles to purchase speculatively, and the threshold is pretty high to trigger the 75% bonus. If you are looking for a quick top up, your best workaround would be to buy a fare and cancel by July 31 and ask for Aeroplan Miles with the 65% bonus.
So, I’ll pass.
