WestJet has now jumped on the bandwagon to offer elevated reward offers for select purchases this summer between June 30 – August 31, 2020.
WestJet has teamed up with RBC and Mastercard to better reward you on everyday essential purchases. You need to register for this offer and you can receive 2x earn rate on purchases at eligible grocery stores and restaurants when you pay with your WestJet RBC World Elite Mastercard – that is 3% on spend on purchases between June 30 – August 31, 2020.
The extra rewards you earn will be provided in whichever way you choose:
a. WestJet dollars
b. a statement credit,
or
c. a direct donation to help support your community.
To participate in the Offer, you must:
(i) fill out the mandatory fields,
(ii) select how you wish to allocate your Offer (WestJet dollars, statement credit or Food Banks Canada donation) (“Offer Selection”),
(iii) accept the Offer terms and conditions associated with the Offer at westjetrbcmc-offer.com, the registration site,
and
(iv) make a purchase at an eligible grocery or restaurant merchant location during the Offer Period using your WestJet RBC World Elite Mastercard or WestJet RBC Mastercard.
The Offer is calculated separately and is in addition to the WestJet dollars you earn on everyday purchases on your credit card. The Offer applies up to a maximum spend of $10,000 on eligible grocery and restaurant purchases on your WestJet RBC World Elite Mastercard and WestJet RBC Mastercard during the Offer Period. Any spend above $10,000 will earn at the standard earn rate. No minimum spend threshold per transaction is required.
Cardholders with the WestJet RBC World Elite Mastercard can earn an additional 1.5% bonus on eligible purchases.
Cardholders with the WestJet RBC Mastercard can earn an additional 1% bonus on eligible purchases.
You can earn the Offer on purchases at these eligible grocery merchants in Canada:
Real Canadian Super Store, Sobeys, Safeway, Save-on-Foods, Metro, Loblaws, IGA, Food Basics Canada, Fortinos, Freshco, Maxi, No Frills, Provigo, Super C, T & T Supermarket, Walmart, and Zehrs.
Purchases at grocery merchants whose primary business is not grocery sales (including wholesale clubs, alcohol retailers, and general merchandise retailers) do not qualify for the Offer in this category.
You can also earn the Offer at eligible restaurants in Canada.
Eligible restaurants are classified under Mastercard merchant category codes 5812 and 5814 and includes Boston Pizza, Cactus Club Café, Denny’s, Earls, East Side Mario’s, IHOP, Milestones Grill & Bar, Montana’s Cookhouse, Moxie’s, Nando’s, Olive Garden, Red Lobster, Red Robin, St. Hubert, Swiss Chalet, The Keg, White Spot and many fast food outlets: A&W, Burger King, Dairy Queen, Domino’s Pizza, Harvey’s, KFC, Little Caesar’s Pizza, McDonald’s, Panago, Pizza Hut, Pizza Nova, Pizza Pizza, Popeye’s, Starbuck’s, Subway, Tim Horton’s, and Wendy’s. Food delivery orders at eligible restaurants through Uber Eats and DoorDash are eligible. Food delivery orders placed through Skip the Dishes are not eligible. Purchases at restaurant merchants whose primary business is not food sales (including bars, taverns, cocktail lounges, and nightclubs) do not qualify for the Offer in this category. The Offer is not applicable on purchases in other categories. Eligible restaurants may be subject to change and the above list of eligible restaurants is not exhaustive.
Purchases made through a third-party or on an online marketplace (with multiple retailers) will not be eligible for the Offer.
The bonus WestJet dollars will be deposited into your WestJet Rewards account on a monthly basis, up to 6-8 weeks after eligible purchases are made.
The statement credit(s) will be applied to your credit card statement(s) based on your credit card statement cycle. It can take up to 6-8 weeks after purchase for the statement credit(s) to be applied to your account dependent on your statement cycle.
The donation will be made to Food Banks Canada by Royal Bank of Canada within 60 days of the end of the Offer. Donations are non-refundable, non-transferrable and the cardholder will not receive a tax receipt.
