Air Canada seems to be desperately seeking passengers to book flights and is offering flexibility options to encourage that,
Flights booked on Air Canada from today-May 22, 2020 until June 30, 2020 for travel through June 30, 2021 benefit from:
1. One-time change fee waiver up to two hours before departure.
2. If you decide to cancel your flight or if your flight is cancelled, you can:
a. Convert the value into Aeroplan Miles and get an additional 65% bonus miles
or
b. Transfer the value of all tickets in a booking to an Air Canada Travel Voucher that is fully transferable and has no expiry date
And the best part – this applies retroactively to all existing flights booked with travel from March 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021.
For customers who booked through a travel agency, Air Canada is working to make these options available.
So, would you book? Given how uncertain travel is? Let me know in the comments below.

What rate is the transfer to aeroplan miles.
I understand its at the same rate as 3cpp but with a 65% bonus.
So in essence you are “buying” aeroplan miles at the rate of 1.8 cents per Aeroplan mile.
Note – this is still expensive than their last promo-Buy Aeroplan Miles with a 115% Bonus – where the cost was 1.4cpp
