Further to my post in early March when Qatar Airways introduced a generous rebooking policy due to COVID 19 where they were offering passengers an option to alter their bookings free of charge or receive a travel voucher up to three days prior to departure, they have now gone a step further and sweetened the deal.
If you are affected by the cancellations, you can now re-book your ticket to alternative dates or destinations, opt to receive a voucher for future travel, or get a refund. This policy applies to all tickets issued anytime until 30 September 2020, for travel on or before the same date. If you had booked with Qatar Airways directly, a travel voucher will be emailed to you automatically.
And heres the BONUS: If you elect to take a future travel voucher, it will be equal to the value of your unutilised ticket – plus an additional 10%, excluding statutory taxes.
If your flight is operating normally and you have booked or are planning to book tickets for travel up to 30 September 2020, but you wish to change your travel plans, you can alter your travel date free of charge, or exchange your ticket for a future travel voucher valid for one year, up to 3 days prior to departure. This includes award flights.
